Echoes of Abandonment

A project by Linda Paganelli, Snežana Stanković, and Emina Zoletic Award Winner of BEYOND GENOCIDE (U.S.A.)

Echoes of Abandonment is a multi-sensory installation reflecting on genocide in the former Yugoslavia, with a focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Centered around a rotating, illuminated cube inspired by the Rubik’s Cube, the piece merges archival imagery, regional symbols, and evocative landscapes with Bosnian, Serbian, and Albanian prayers and poetry. This immersive structure reflects on loss, denial, and the ongoing struggle for justice.

Stories We Didn’t Tell

By Jonna Rock, in collaboration with PAIDEIA INSTITUTE

The documentary explores post-Soviet Jewish, German, and Russian grandchildren in Berlin, reflecting on Second World War memories passed down through generations. Through their diverse perspectives, the film reexamines the concepts of perpetrator, victim, victory, and loss in a polyphonic, generational retelling.
